Melanie K. Silverstein is the founder of the Law Office of Melanie Katz Silverstein, a Philadelphia-based practice focusing primarily in the areas of criminal defense and family law. She provides legal assistance in all of the following areas:

Melanie is a life-long resident of the Philadelphia area and has a vast number of ties & connections within its legal community. She is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Melanie has always felt her destiny was to be a lawyer and has remained passionate about getting the best legal results for every client she works with. Before opening the Law Office of Melanie Katz Silverstein, Melanie graduated summa cum laude from Towson University with a Bachelors of Science in Law and American Civilization. She then was admitted to the Villanova University School of Law. During her tenure at Villanova, Melanie excelled in criminal law and litigation. She was extremely involved in the Student Bar Association holding positions as her class’s Representative as well as being elected as the Secretary for the Association.
Melanie started her legal career in the Philadelphia area as a Practicum Intern at the Law Office of Astor, Weiss, Kaplan, and Mandel, where she worked in the firm’s Estate Planning and Administration section. She then realized her true calling was in criminal law and became active within the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. She was an intern in the DUI courtroom for the Office and also a certified intern for the Office handling cases in the Philadelphia Municipal and Juvenile Courts. She was a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Jane Cutler Greenspan in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas. Judge Greenspan later went on to become appointed as a Justice for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Melanie was also an associate at the Law Office of Nino V. Tinari where she became familiar with and excelled at handling criminal defense and family law cases within the Pennsylvania courts.
